DOVOS has published a public call for proposals inviting Slovenian companies to enter into equity partnerships in the fields of defence, security and resilience. This marks the first initiative of its kind in Slovenia, whereby the State acts in a systematic, market-oriented manner as an equity partner to strengthen industrial and technological capacities in these areas.
DOVOS intends to invest in companies whose technologies, products and services contribute to strengthening Slovenia’s defence industrial and technological base and demonstrate strong growth potential in international markets. In this context, DOVOS acts as an equity investor, selecting projects on the basis of their strategic relevance, economic viability and market potential. The procedure does not constitute a public procurement process, but rather an investment selection process for equity partnership projects.
DOVOS will invest in companies developing key strategic technologies, products and services. Investment opportunities will be sought in the following areas:
- Dual-use applications and resilience enhancement
- Unmanned systems and counter-UAS capabilities
- Mobility and multi-purpose logistical support
- Cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and digital technologies
- Addressing critical capability gaps
- Air and missile defence and detection systems
Individual investments are envisaged in the range of EUR 2 million to EUR 20 million, typically in the form of minority equity stakes. The selection process will be conducted in clearly defined stages, in a structured and transparent manner, in line with established market practice in the management of equity investments.
Further details on participation requirements and submission procedures are set out in the Public Call, published on the DOVOS website together with the Investment Strategy, which defines the strategic orientations, priority areas, investment modalities and core selection criteria.
The deadline for the submission of proposals is 29 June 2026.
